A dramatic improvement in the appearance of acne scars can be seen in as few as three treatments.
Cynosure, the leader in aesthetic lasers, announced in 2014 “The World’s Most Advanced Laser Technology for Tattoo Removal and Benign Pigmented Lesions Is Now FDA-Cleared To Treat Acne Scars”.
This is exciting news as acne is one of the most common and frustrating skin conditions to deal with, affecting more than 60 million people today. Cynosure has been growing rapidly across Australia over the last three years.
“We are thrilled to announce that PicoSure, the world’s most advanced laser technology for tattoo removal and benign pigmented lesions, has now received FDA-clearance to treat acne scars,” says Cynosure President and CEO Michael Davin “Our dedication to clinical research offers patients incomparable treatment options and the highest satisfaction to-date. With new treatments continuing to emerge, PicoSure’s latest indication is another milestone and evidence of Cynosure’s commitment to the evolution of picosecond laser technology.”
PicoSure clinical studies show a dramatic improvement in the appearance of acne scars in as few as three treatments, that’s promising news.
“Acne scarring can happen even without picking; acne lesions, particularly cysts, can lead to scarring due to the intense, collagen-damaging skin inflammation,” says Dr. Emil Tanghetti of The Center for Dermatology and Laser Surgery.”

What can I expect during and after my treatment?
During a PicoSure treatment for acne concerns, a thorough consultation is provided. Our clients are empowered to make an informed decision on how to combat acne and give you the confidence boost you seek.
A cooling device called the Zimmer is used before, during and post treatment to ensure that you are comfortable.
There is no real down-time after treatments but you can expect a redness (erythema) for up to 48 hours after treatment. Pre and post care will be given and performed monthly.
How many sessions will I need?
As each individual varies you’re advised to come in for a consultation so one of our technicians can assess your specific needs. Typically you can expect between 3-6 treatments.
