Skin needling… and why is it so popular?
By now you would of heard of Skin needling, Dermapen or collagen induction therapy (CIT). Over the last few years Skin needling has become quite popular especially since Kim Kardashian-West posted a photo post treatment.
If you are not quite sure if this treatment is for you or not sure what the hype is all about, that is ok, because we are going to give you the run down.
Skin needling is based on the concept of creating controlled micro wounds to stimulate the wound healing response. When our body goes into repair mode it releases an abundance of growth factors, peptides, cytokines, immune cells and much more to ensure all cells have the appropriate equipment for healthy replication of dead cells.
While all this is happening our Fibroblast cell which synthesizes collagen in the dermal layer is switched on to start breaking down all old collagen structure and damaged DNA cells building brand new healthy collagen.
This results in firm and plump skin, enlarged pores are reduced in size, breaking down old scar tissue (even stretch marks), and is great on neck bands and so much more!
The treatment itself only has one main day of down time with a light bit of shedding and some crusting post treatment for just 3-5 days, nothing an extra hit of moisturizer can’t fix.
We cannot wait to give you guys the finest skin needling treatment yet! The new device is beyond refined with Bluetooth technology and more! Stay tuned for specials 🙂
