LED light treatments

Responsive image

LED stands for light emitting diodes. This is a low level light used to rejuvenate the skin. LED Light Therapy is a very safe, non-invasive treatment and is a perfect addition after treatments such as a microdermabrasion or an enzyme peel or even a laser facial.

  • Inflammation
  • Active acne
  • General acne
  • Superficial acne scarring
  • Fine lines
  • Collagen loss
  • Rosacea
  • Soothing elements post treatments in clinic

LED works in different ways using different lights and/or combination of lights depending on what your skin concern is.\

  • Red Light – gently stimulates collagen production.
  • Blue Light – reduces acne bacteria and can reduce inflammation and breakouts.
  • Green Light – has soothing properties and provides a greater skin texture.
  • Yellow Light – has anti allergy properties.

If your concern is post treatment and you would like to reduce inflammation we can utilise the blue and green light to soothe the skin. A popular option is to have LED Light Therapy after a Deluxe Microdermabrasion.

If your skin concern is acne scarring or blemishes, we’ll use a combination of blue and red light. The red rebuilds collagen, stimulates our fibroblasts to enhance collagen remodelling and the blue light helps to kill the active p.acne bacteria in the skin and settles inflammation.

Use as a stand alone treatment, an add on or we have packages available which our friendly staff can assist with after a consultation.

Safe Procedure For Blemish-Free Skin

Recommended by the beauty and fashion experts all over the world, LED light therapy is an effective and secure way to achieve flawless and younger-looking skin. The most significant aspect of this therapy is that it is safe and painless and is suitable for all skin tones and types.

The LED light has the potency to penetrate the skin and reduce the size of the pores, plump up the skin, improve collagen production and fight acne-causing bacteria. The procedure results in healthy and radiant skin devoid of wrinkles, scars, pimples, and blemishes. It is a relaxing treatment which does not make the client uncomfortable in any way. Each session is of 20 minutes and must be done once a week for a few months, or as directed by the therapist. It is usually done on the face but can also be used on the neck and chest to remove the signs of ageing.

LED Light For Brighter, Smoother And Younger Skin

LED light therapy doesn’t involve the use of ultra-violet radiations and therefore is completely safe. It does not cause any side-effects and has not resulted in any long-term problems. The non-invasive nature of the procedure makes it easy for the client and the therapist to go through the treatment. It does not burn the skin and is recommended for people with sensitive and dark skin tones.

The only precaution that needs to be taken while undergoing the treatment is to avoid taking medication which makes your skin sensitive to light. Also, if you are suffering from an allergic reaction on your skin, then it is best to wait until you have recovered. You must consult your therapist about your skin conditions and understand the analysis before going ahead with the treatment.

LED light therapy is also known as photo rejuvenation, and it helps in the reduction of acne, scars, and wrinkles for brighter and youthful skin. It helps to reduce the size of enlarged pores and improves elasticity without causing any pain or side-effects.

Although LED light therapy doesn’t have any harmful radiations, looking directly at the light for a long duration is not advisable. You will be provided with protective eye gear for the same, or you can keep your eyes closed.

Yes, LED light is safe for all types of skin and can be administered on people with dark skin tones or sensitive skin. However, if you have some specific skin condition or are suffering from sudden allergic rashes or breakouts, then you should wait till it subsides.

The therapy usually needs 10 sessions which are one week apart from each other. So you should be able to complete it in 2-3 months depending on your requirements.

The results depend on the skin condition of the individuals. However, you can start witnessing a reduction in the lines after the first month itself. The final outcome can be seen after three months.

You can get back to work as soon as the session is over. You can even apply makeup and go out in the sun after the therapy, unlike other laser treatment which require sun protection.
